Cadence Cinema Film & TV's Original Episodic Series Bloodlines is Now in Production

LOGLINE: When a popular high school girl disappears, a group of students investigates Richmond's dark past, unraveling a sinister history tied to a rare, magical stone passed through generations, while confronting social injustices, racism, and paranormal forces that bind families across centuries.

SYNOPSIS: Rose, a local teen, disappears, prompting a group of students to uncover the dark history of a rare, magical stone with a legacy of curses. Spanning centuries, the stone's journey intersects with the lives of various families, including the Taylows, whose tragic past haunts present-day Richmond. As the investigation unfolds, the students confront not only the supernatural but also deep-seated social issues plaguing their community.

INSPIRATIONS: Bloodlines draws from popular series like Stranger Things, American Horror Story, and The Vampire Diaries, blending supernatural mystery with social commentary. It explores themes of racism, gentrification, and identity against the backdrop of Richmond's tumultuous history.

This unique series is a collaborative effort between talented students, Virginia freelance filmmakers, and Cadence Cinema Film & TV. Our aim is to empower students, cast, and crew to participate in the multifaceted art of filmmaking, while deepening their understanding of narrative art, visual storytelling, and Richmond's rich yet somber history.
