Love & Vinyl

Set amidst the record stacks of a real-life music shop, Love and Vinyl explores what it means to seek genuine connection in a digital world. The play follows lifelong friends Bogie, an accountant, and Zane, a teacher, during a late-night visit to their favorite record store. When they meet Sage, the shop’s insightful and grounded owner, the evening takes an unexpected turn—mixing humor, heart, and nostalgia as they reflect on love, loss, and the beauty of analog moments in a digital age.

Pipeline Retreat

Join Cadence this spring as we gather playwrights and screenwriters for a focused and immersive retreat at Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing (WAEL), near Roanoke, Virginia. Through a series of panels and workshops, participants will explore how different environments can influence their stories—and how their inimitable vision brings them to life.

Witchduck

In partnership with Firehouse Theatre, Cadence presents the world premiere of WitchDuck. Based on the true story of Grace Sherwood, Virginia’s last convicted witch, this darkly comic and subversive new play pulls history to the surface with humor, defiance, and a sharp feminist edge.

Jammin’ in June & July

Calling all theatre kids! Whether your kid is new to the spotlight or a seasoned performer, they’ll enjoy our Jammin’ in June and Jammin’ in July programs. All students will participate in acting, singing, dancing, and art classes over the course of two weeks, culminating in a final performance for families and friends!
