Cadence Theatre Company makes Richmond debut January 14-24, 2010 at The Firehouse Theatre with Shepard’s Fool for Love; Announces 2010 Season 

Cadence Theatre Company (CTC) makes its Richmond debut with Fool for Love, by Sam Shepard. Fool for Love is set in a run down motel room on the edge of the Mojave Desert where Eddie and May fight to escape their devastating past. Dark secrets are revealed in a haunting story of jealousy, betrayal and love. Told by one of America's most renowned playwrights, Fool for Love transports its audiences, taking them on a journey they will never forget. 

CTC’s production is directed by Anna Senechal Johnson, and features the talents of Gordon Bass (The Old Man), Robin Bloodworth (Eddie), Billy-Christopher Maupin (Martin) and Maggie Roop (May). Set Design is by Kevin Johnson, Costume and Scenic Painting is by Lara Koplin, Lighting Design and Fight Choreography are by Slade Billew and Sound Design is by Jesse Senechal and Philip Campbell. 

Anna Senechal Johnson (Director/Artistic Director Cadence Theatre Company), one of the five founding members of Firehouse Theatre Project, returned to Richmond this year after having spent twelve years working as a freelance actress, director and choreographer in Idaho. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and The British American Drama Academy, she is a Company Artist for Company of Fools in Hailey, Idaho and served for nine years as Artistic Director of a theatre arts and education program in Sun Valley, Idaho called St. Thomas Playhouse. Favorite Idaho directing credits include: Suburbia, Agnes of God, The Wizard of Oz and Jesus Christ Superstar. Favorite Richmond directing credits include: My Children! My Africa! (Theatre IV Little Theatre), A Devil Inside (Theatre IV Little Theatre) and Tone Clusters (Firehouse Theatre Project). Acting credits include roles in Steel Magnolias, Rabbit Hole, Sight Unseen and Bus Stop. Currently she teaches for SPARC, freelances as an actress, director and teacher, and will be directing Shepard's Fool for Love with Cadence Theatre Company and Henley Street Theatre's production of Ibsen's A Doll's House this winter and spring.

Fool for Love Tickets and Performances 
Tickets for Fool for Love will be available at the door or by calling (804) 233-4894 after December 15, 2010. Tickets are $25 for general admission, $22 for seniors and $10 for students with ID and RAPT members. Fool for Love contains mature themes and is recommended for college-aged youth and up. 

Performances of Fool for Love will be January 14—24, 2010 at The Firehouse Theatre at 1609 W. Broad Street in Richmond. Shows Thursday through Saturday evenings are at 8PM and at 4PM on Sundays.
