Episode 1
“Hi! I'm May, a 16 year old registered yoga teacher and mindfulness enthusiast. I have been practicing yoga since middle school. I started yoga to help with my anxiety, and after witnessing the amazing effects it had on my mind, body, and spiritual wellbeing, I decided that I wanted to become a teacher to share yoga with other middle and high schoolers. I noticed that many of the yoga studios and classes I was attending had a very specific clientele, and I did not see many young adults or kids at classes. My goal is to spread yoga to groups of people who normally would not practice yoga. I try to put an interesting and engaging spin on my yoga classes to keep everyone engaged and then slowly introduce some mindfulness and breathing techniques. I believe that yoga has benefits for everyone, so why not try a class? Sending love and light!”

Today's Mindfulness Monday features Lexi. Lexi is an actor and junior at Maggie Walker high school. She loves being on stage and inspiring others through her performance! Lexi is also a practicing yogi, and believes mindfulness is very beneficial to artists and all human beings. In her free time, you can catch her at her church theatre or singing!
